We’re just wrapping up our first month in the Sew New to Me Quilting Bee (Heather of A La Mode fabric had this month). She requested wonky log cabins for her blocks and sent us all some lovely Far Far Away fabrics with a mix of blue, yellow, and orange bits mixed in. I finished my block last night – here’s a teaser:

The colors she chose are so fresh and oceany.  I love the mix of fabrics she sent to me. You can check out the blocks Heather has received so far in the group pool. It was a happy coincidence that she picked wonky log cabins for her month because I’ve been working on my own wonky log cabin blocks for a Hello Betty quilt (in the Retro colorway).

I have the quilt top about half finished and expect to get it ready for quilting by the end of the week. I have a great teal linen that will work for backing so I’m staying true to my vow to deplete the fabric stash!
