when to start a new quilt

I’ve found that the perfect time to start a new quilt seems to be when you have at least 10 already in progress. After counting up my WIPs (posted in the sidebar) + this new one, I see that I’m at an even dozen.

I love finishing quilts, but there is something equally appealing about starting new ones. Having a little pile of squared up blocks is so satisfying – especially after I’ve had them tucked away in the cabinet for a few months. Taking them out again is like finding an old friend.

Tomorrow I’m going to go through my WIP drawers and see what’s waiting in there for me.
