I’m so excited to finally share this news! I’ve partnered with two friends from my local quilt guild to form a fabric shop and we’ve named it Urban Spools. You can find us on Etsy and keep up with us on our blog, The Daily Spool (be sure and bookmark it!). We specialize in kits and pre-cuts, but also carry yardage.
We attended Quilt Market in Houston over the weekend, and we saw lots of great new lines and patterns, some of which will be available in our shop this spring. We’re just getting started but we have a lot planned and we’re dreaming big.
Since I started quilting, I’ve heard a lot of women say that they have a hard time figuring out how to match fabrics beyond using the ones from one collection. Part of what I will be doing for Urban Spools is creating custom fabric bundles, charm packs, and jelly rolls that will take all of the guess work out of the equation. I’ve also created a couple of new patterns that are in the testing phase, but will be available for purchase very soon. Be sure and check out our tutorials page because we already have some cool downloads available and will be adding more.
